Green Earth Pentacle & Celtic Tree of Life by Jen Delyth
We invite you to entrust your memories and creative whims to the pages of this acid-free, handmade, archival quality, yellow Celtic journal designed by famed artist Jen Delyth. The Pentacle shows that life and death are interconnected and that one is not possible without the other. The Tree of Life, a symbol of strength, beauty, and knowledge, represents the interconnection of all living things. The Aois Dana – the Weavers – are the inspired poets. They draw from the well of wisdom and knowledge, whose waters are fed by five rivers (the pentacle), the five streams of our senses. Celtic priestesses and healer-women encoded their deep knowledge of trees and herbs into an ancient Tree alphabet – Beth Luis – Nuin – represented by the sacred oak leaves. The Raven symbolizes rebirth and regeneration.
One-of-a-kind hand-crafted genuine leather journals embossed and tanned using eco-friendly traditional methods. Incredible quality leather that gains character and softness as time passes, a perfect gift for yourself or a loved one that will last forever.
The art of Coptic binding is an age-old technique almost 2,000 years old. It remains one of the most durable forms of bookbinding known. Coptic-bound books hold your journal pages far longer than any modern book-binding method. Artists favor this stitching technique, which enables your journal to lay flat when opened, allowing for easier drawing or writing.
Each Poetic Earth journal has roughly 150 sheets of heirloom quality handmade linen parchment paper that passes the strictest of PH-acidity marker tests. Internally sized with the professional artist in mind for watercolours, fountain pens, pencils, ballpoint pens and just about every type of artistic media. The smooth texture makes this wonderful to write on and its archive-quality manufacturing will ensure that whatever you put in your journal will last a lifetime.
